Redwhisker blinked, her sapphire-like eyes lit on an inner fire. A shadow moved up ahead, and Redwhisker's lips curled in a soundless snarl. The bush trembled with the motion of a falling squirrel, and immediately the she-cat bounded forward in rapid succession. The startled white face of the rabbit disappeared in a mound of red fur. Blood shot across the forest ground, littering the sticks and leaves of the messiness of the hunt.


The queen frowned at the messy kill, tail weaving irritably. Redwhisker had never been very good at hunting, and her fighting skills were zilch. It was safe to say that the clumsy she-cat barely passed her warrior assessments with a little over passing. Three of the five warriors pinned, the prey bigger than usual... Redwhisker frowned, lashing her tail angrily. Uuurgh! 

Frustrated, Redwhisker hopped into a tree with her rabbit, nestling in a crook. With a grace of a wolf, Redwhisker dove into her food like a starved dog and gulped her small prey down.
